We have the results of Kol's MRI, and the tumour is still growing. In the January CT scan, it was 3.1cm by 3.6cm - it is now 3.9cm by 4.0cm.
We're dealing with a lot of emotion right now - heartbreak, anger, fear, disappointment, denial, sorrow, frustration - and we're not sure what our next step is going to be. Your prayers are appreciated.
You all are on the Prayer Chain at my church and I called a few Prayer Warriors as well. Tell Kol hello from Mrs. "G" Love to all of you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear those results, such an emotional time for your family. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you as you make decisions about that next step.
ReplyDeletePrayers are definitely still coming your way...
ReplyDeleteWe are still praying for you and your family and will continue to do so - you are often in our thoughts. We will also pray for wisdom as you decide the next step -- many family members are praying as well.

My heart is breaking for you. Our troubles pale in comparison to what your family is going through. Please know we continue to pray for you ALL. We love each one of you!
ReplyDeleteDear friends,
ReplyDeletewe have grown to love you in the Spirit. We pray for you all daily and we are distressed to hear this news. We know your deep emotions. we've been there. You have been given a doorway to walk through. It is the doorway of complete and utter dependance on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is still the only God who hears and can deliver. In times like this it is to OK to call loudly upon His name. He hears and will save.
You are in our prayers constantly. We know that our Father is doing deep and wonderful things in and through you.
Spiritual exercise.... Write the ten commandments on the lintels and doorposts of your house. It is a declaration to principalities of which kingdom you belong.
Love from all of us

We are so sorry Kirk and Kristen. We are continuing to pray for Kol. We also pray for wisdom for your next step and some kind of peace (which surpasses all understanding) for that decision of what to do now. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, The Behennas
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray!

We don't know each other but I have prayed daily for Kol since finding this blog. I check here daily and am heartbroken to hear of the news of the results and the impact it must have on your family. I hope you find peace with whatever the next step will be and that you somehow find strength. You are an inspirational family. God bless.
ReplyDeleteAlways in our prayers, from Jim, Trish, Jesse and Wyatt from Colorado. (Nee Whitson/Kaye Senums daughter)
ReplyDeleteI only began to follow your journey a few days ago. I'm so sorry to hear about Kol's latest MRI results. I will be praying for Kol and the rest of you.

Kirk & Kristen,
ReplyDeleteDad told me about Kol & his illness last year, but I was unable to access this link then--I don't know why. Just know that all of you are in our thoughts & prayers as you go through this time.

Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we've come
Knowing that for every step
you were with us
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did you leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did you leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, you are faithful
Every step we are breathing in your grace
Ever more we will be breathing out your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
