Soon, and very soon

Kol is fading quickly. The doctors say it may be hours, it may be days, but it probably won't be weeks. After his seizure this morning, Kol had a brief time awake, but hasn't opened his eyes since. He is showing signs of neurological decline, and his breathing is becoming irregular and laboured. We are taking him home to Outlook tonight, with medicine and supplies to keep him comfortable. We ask for your prayers for Kol and for our family.

  28. I had heard a lot about Kol and his condition but it never hit home until I realized that Kol was short for Kolbjorn. I was a senior in dance at Conquest and I remember sitting in the hallway waiting for my next lesson. I would be doing my homework or listening to music and Kolbjorn would be right there beside me. He was always bright and full of life as he played detective with his imaginary magnifying glass or explained to me how a Kinder Surprise worked on countless occasions. He could always make me laugh and I was heart stricken the moment I realized that this same joy is the one having suffered so much. My prayers are with you and Kolbjorn, I will always remember him and his stories, jokes and of course the detailed description of the Kinder Surprise. "First, you open it up! And there's a chocolate egg inside! When you open the egg there is white chocolate and another plastic container. Once you open that there is a toy, you even get to put it together!!"
