Kol was discharged Thursday afternoon! It feels so good to be out of the hospital, to see Kol in his "street clothes" after two weeks of mostly hospital gowns or pajamas, to see the smiles on everyone's faces as we pulled up to Mom and Dad's place, to see him disappear up the stairs to go find the Lego pile upstairs... yeah, it feels good.
We're going to stick around here tonight, and then head back to Outlook sometime on Friday. It'll feel so good to be back home...
Oh I am so glad to hear that he is out. Get lots of rest now. Hope everything continues to go well and you are all still in my prayers.

I've been following your blog - our prayers are certainly with you - give Kol a hug - not really sure what to say - except - enjoy your days out of the hospital - and I will certainly be following your blog.

Yay! Time to cheer up and rest up for the next phases of treatment. However it would be nice if God healed him before more treatment and Birgitte too. We are still praying lots for all of you.

Great to hear that you are able to go home!
ReplyDeleteYou and your family will continue to be in our prayers, as you continue this journey.

This is a real answer to prayer, Kirk and Kristen. What joy to have your child coming home and have a sense of 'normalcy' again (although I'm sure your lives will be changed forever...at the very least with a different perspective on life).
ReplyDeleteWe'll continue to pray during Kol's treatment and what you decide to do in that regards.
Thinking and praying for you,
Julie S.
Kirk, if you need to, we can have a small online memorial service for your fish! :)
That's great! Hope everything continues to go well. :)
